4 Vapes sold to minors in the city of Huntington: the police

CITY OF HUNTINGTON, NY – Four people accused of selling vapes and e-cigarettes to minors in the town of Huntington were arrested on Tuesday, Suffolk Police said.

Second Precinct officers investigated the sale of vapes and e-cigarettes to minors at 15 businesses in response to numerous complaints from the community, police said.

The following four people have been charged with unlawful second-degree caring for a child, police said:

  • Julio Reyes-Alvarado, 26, of Huntington Station, employee of Huntington Village Vapes, located at 4 Elm St., Huntington.
  • Rajwinder Singh, 26, of Floral Park, an employee of Huntington Smoke & Vape, located at 1730 B Jericho Turnpike, Huntington.
  • Cassandra Thaw, 28, of Deer Park, employee of Gotham Smoke Shop, located at 681 East Jericho Turnpike, Huntington Station.
  • Mohamed Elfeky, 31, of Huntington Station, an employee of Evolve Smoke Shop, located at 290 Larkfield Road, East Northport.

All four employees have received field appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in Central Islip First District Court at a later date.

Compliance checks were carried out at 11 other businesses in Huntington, Huntington Station, Greenlawn and East Northport, and no violations were found, police said.
