Farm-to-table dining returns to West Virginia state parks
SOUTH CHARLESTON, WV – West Virginia’s State Parks Farm-to-Table Dinner Series is back this year and is the best way to enjoy locally sourced foods, fresh local produce and beverages local crafts at select West Virginia state parks. Each dinner is a unique dining experience and seating is limited.
“This dinner series is a great opportunity to sample gourmet meals prepared by state park chefs at our breathtaking parks,” said Paul Redford, West Virginia State Parks District Manager. . “These meals showcase local ingredients and are the perfect end to summer.”
September 10 – Falcon’s Nest – The Hawks Nest State Park Farm-to-Table Dinner, featuring local produce and groceries, is scheduled for Sept. 10, 2022. This year’s dinner will be held at the park’s Event Center, formerly known as from Hawk’s Nest Museum. This event venue is fully accessible and has plenty of parking spaces. Reservations will be required and seating is limited to 35. Dinner tickets are $44.99, excluding taxes and tip.

September 17 – Cacapon Resort – The Cacapon Resort farm-to-table dinner is scheduled for September 17, 2022 and will feature local produce and food items. Tickets are $45 and include tax and tip. Reservations are available for a maximum of 50 guests. Dinner begins at 6:00 p.m. at Cacapon Lodge with musical entertainment for the festivities. For people who haven’t seen the new lodge and renovations, this is a great opportunity to enjoy a good meal, music and see the lodge.

November 12 – Cass Scenic Railway – A full frost moon shines over the town of Cass, W.Va. and farm-to-table dinner, prepared by the Last Run Restaurant at Cass Scenic Railroad State Park. Highlighting local produce and produce, the dinner features home cooking of local produce and desserts that only a harvest can provide. Visit the company store, stroll through the town of Cass and enjoy the community spirit.
