The Community Development Agency will distribute more than 10,000 COVID-19 test kits to Huntington residents starting Monday.

Residents who want the kits must register in advance. Each household can receive up to four over-the-counter Rapid Result COVID-19 test kits. Apply online at huntingtonny.gov/covid-test-kits.

Distribution will begin Monday at Manor Field Park at Huntington Station on East 5th Street until all kits are distributed. Distribution is scheduled for Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Fridays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Huntington Community Development Agency is also partnering with Value Drugs of Greenlawn to provide approximately 2,000 residents with a free on-site Rapid Results Antigen COVID-19 test. On-site testing is now available for pre-registered residents. Register on huntingtonny.gov/valuedrugscovid19test to receive a voucher for a free test. Once approved, residents can schedule their appointment with Value Drugs. Testing will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis.

In September 2020, the City of Huntington received $1,869,925 from the Department of Housing and Urban Development to prepare for, respond to, and prevent the spread of the coronavirus. This funding was made available through the Community Development Block Grant-Coronavirus (CDBG-CV) program.
