Surveillance footage captures drive-through shooting at Raleigh convenience store :: WRAL.com

Raleigh, North Carolina – A suspect is on the run this evening after a drive-by shooting in Raleigh.
And the surveillance footage captured the shots at the camera!
No one was injured, but customers and employees had to dive for cover.
It only took a few seconds to go from calm to chaos, in front of the New Bern Mini Mart on Thursday afternoon.
Security video shows a dark BMW pulling up to a halt, a hand outstretched with a gun, and customers and employees diving for cover.
Clerk Oswaldo Amaya escaped unscathed.
âLiterally, they had just entered when they started shooting,â Amaya said. “All I can think of is if I’m okay, because right now you can’t feel anything.”
This is the second time Amaya has survived a shootout at this store.
No one was injured in Thursday’s shooting. The bullets only broke glass.
Another employee, Michael Dickens, says he survived a shooting here just two months ago. He promised that security would be tightened.
âAll the lights that exploded in that parking lot have been on, other cameras have been turned off. So take this opportunity to come here and do something stupid, it’s going to be known,â Dickens said.
Both men say they have no plans to quit their convenience store jobs, but it’s high time the community learned to lower their arms.
So far, no arrests have been made in the shooting.
